LOVE IS ….
Love is a concept bigger than any concert you could ever
imagine on the face of the earth. It might not be as loud as a concert but it
is stronger than it. Love is divine, spiritual and strong.
In the Bible the book of Solomon (also known as Songs of Solomon) 8:6 said ……..for love is as strong as death meaning love has a
strong bond, he went on to say Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown
it, the message here is simply,
love knows no hindrances or obstacles. I said earlier that love is spiritual
the reason being love is the only thing that hits you and what you feel next
becomes magical, moments like these leave you
bursting with happiness and joy that nothing else matters, because you
are in love with the person your heart truly wants.
Most
times young people wonder what makes the grand ma’s and the grand pa’s stay
together, married for over 65 years and counting, while with young couples
today divorce seems as natural as breathing, and the rates are climbing every
day, the old folks will say Trust, Respect, and Endurance are the keys to a
long lasting relationship. God made mention of LOVE in His commandment when He
said Thou
shalt LOVE the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with
thy whole mind, and with thy whole strength and Thou shalt LOVE thy neighbor as
thyself these
are His two greatest commandments and
1 Corinthians 13:1 – 10 says
1 If I speak in the
tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a
clanging cymbal.
2 And if I have prophetic
powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all
faith, so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
3 If I give away all I
have, and if I deliver my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful;
5 it is not arrogant or
rude. Love does not insist on its own
way; it is not irritable or resentful;
6 it does not rejoice at
wrong, but rejoices in the right.
7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all
things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends; as for prophecies, they will pass away;
as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.
9 For our knowledge is imperfect and our
prophecy is imperfect;
10 but when the perfect comes, the imperfect
will pass away.
The word perfect
depicted here is love. Love is free, love
is life, love is gentle, love is priceless and love is Beautiful.
